Player Guide
Everything you need to know to get started in the YBL.
Getting Started
Log in with Discord — Click the Discord button on the login page. No password needed. Your account is linked automatically to your Discord profile.
Claim a player — Once logged in, head to My Player and submit a claim request for an existing player. An admin will approve it.
Start earning XP — Chat in the Discord server and use the weekly check-in command. XP lets you upgrade your player's attributes on the website.
Use bot commands — All league commands start with /ybl in Discord. See the full list below.
Claiming a Player
Every user can claim one YBL player on the website. Your claim links your Discord account to that player so you can manage upgrades and receive rewards.
Go to Players, find the player you want, and open their profile page.
Click Claim This Player. Your request is sent to the admins.
Wait for admin approval — you'll then see the player appear on your My Player page with full upgrade controls.
One claim per account. Make sure you pick the right player — contact an admin if you need it changed.
Upgrades
All upgrades are done on your My Player page. Stage your changes, review the cost, then hit Apply Upgrades.
Attributes — costs XP
Raise your player's stats (Speed, Shooting, Ball Handling, etc.) up to their build caps. Each point upgrade costs XP — higher-rated attributes cost more per point. Specialist stats cost more than base stats.
Earn XP through: weekly check-in, chatting in Discord, 🏀 reactions, and buying XP in the shop.
Badges — costs Badge Tokens
Badges upgrade through tiers: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Hall of Fame → Legend. Each tier requires the matching token (e.g. a Gold token to upgrade to Gold).
Badge tokens are earned through the Battlepass and loot packs.
Tendencies — costs Tendency Tokens
Change a single tendency for 1 Single Tendency Token, or overhaul all tendencies at once for 1 Custom Tendencies Token.
Animations — costs Animation Tokens
Swap jump shots, dribble styles, dunks, and more. Each animation category has its own token type. Available options are filtered based on your player's height and build attributes.
Hot Zones — costs Hot Zone Tokens
Upgrade a zone from Neutral to Hot for 1 Hot Zone Token per zone. Cold zones cannot be upgraded.
Battlepass
The Battlepass tracks your activity each season and rewards you with tokens, XP, and loot packs as you level up your Chat Level.
How to earn XP
Rewards
Each level-up unlocks a reward automatically — badge tokens, tendency tokens, animation tokens, loot packs, and more. Check your current progress with /ybl battlepass in Discord.

Earning Money
Money in your wallet is separate from XP. Use it to buy extra XP or loot packs via /ybl shop.
Shop Items
5 XP
Added directly to a player of your choice.
Premium Loot Pack
Contains tokens and upgrades — delivered by an admin.
Legendary Loot Pack
High-tier tokens and rare rewards — delivered by an admin.
Tip: Use /ybl wallet to check your balance before shopping. Loot packs are fulfilled manually by admins — you'll receive your items after they process your order.
